Calgary police issue ecstasy warning after three likely deaths

CALGARY - Alberta Health officials have issued an alert about the street drug ecstasy after three recent deaths in the Calgary area were linked to the chemical.

Officials say that although toxicology tests aren't complete, the drug is the likely cause.

They add that Calgary hospitals have treated more than 100 people for ecstasy-related health concerns since April.

Police say they don't know the source of the drug or how much of it is on the street.
