At least two construction workers were injured and one was rushed to hospital following an accident at a subway tunnel excavation site near Toronto's York University on Friday morning.
CBC News's Trevor Dunn reported from the scene.
"One of the workers was pulled out of this excavation site and they used a crane to do it," Dunn reported. "That worker ... has been rushed to hospital."
Dunn reported that injuries to the worker removed by the crane are said to be serious, but not life-threatening.
The injured men are 42 and 26 years old. Ontario's Labour Ministry has been notified of the accident.
"Emergency crews are still on the scene but all workers have been cleared from the site," Dunn reported.
In October, a worker was killed in an accident on another section of the same subway construction site when a drilling rig collapsed.
