Police investigating Montreal shooting

Montreal police are investigating two suspicious events that happened in the Rosemont neighbourhood Sunday morning.

At 6:30 am Sunday, police received a call from someone near the corner of Rosemont Boulevard and Jeanne d'Arc Avenue saying they heard gunshots.

Police found a firearm when they arrived at the scene.

About 10 minutes later, a nearby hospital called police to tell them a man arrived with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Police said the 30-year-old man is known to police and is not cooperating with investigators.

They said they cannot link the two events but they are interviewing witnesses to try to learn more.
