Come on down: Daytime game show 'Price is Right' offers trip to Calgary Stampede

CALGARY - A daytime game show that exhorts contestants to "come on down" is offering a trip to the Calgary Stampede as one of its prizes.

"The Price is Right" will showcase the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth on its show this Wednesday.

Stampede publicity manager Jennifer Booth says the Canadian Tourism Commission is funding promotion of the rodeo this year because 2012 marks the event's 100th anniversary.

Booth says details about what the prize includes and when it will be given away are under wraps until the show airs.

"The Price is Right" on CBS has been handing out cash and prizes to lucky winners for almost four decades.

Comedian Drew Carrey took over as host of the popular program in 2007 when Bob Barker retired after 35 years with the show.
