FREDERICTON - Fredericton police were stationed at a hospital Tuesday after a male phoned in a threat.
Const. Rick Mooney declined to elaborate, saying only the threat to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital was of a general nature.
"Our officers are trying to determine the validity and exact nature of that threat," he said Tuesday.
Police were only allowing people through the hospital's main entrance and were searching men on their way into the building, particularly for weapons.
Mooney said a male suspect phoned the hospital at around 10:30 a.m. but did not direct the threat at any specific patient.
