Alberta Mounties wounded in shooting are out of hospital

EDMONTON - Two Mounties wounded in a shooting southeast of Edmonton last week have been discharged from hospital.

RCMP Sgt. Tim Taniguchi (tahn-ih-GOO'-chee) says the officers are home with their families.

Constables Seldon Shah and Sid Gaudette were shot on a farm near Killam on Feb. 7 as they were executing a search warrant.

Sawyer Clarke Robison has been charged with attempted murder.

He is to appear in Killam provincial court on Wednesday.

Taniguchi says both officers will need considerable time to recover.

The body of Robison's uncle, Brad Clarke, was found dead on the property.

Robison was on the run for nearly three days before turning himself in following a plea from his parents to do so.
