Injured Alberta teen's sports memorabilia still missing, despite recovery of SUV

EDMONTON - Police in Edmonton have found a sport utility vehicle that was stolen from the Alberta mother of an injured high school football player.

But some treasured sports memorabilia are still missing after the SUV was taken from a city apartment where Desiree Judd and her son Zach (ZAK) are staying while he undergoes physiotherapy.

The vehicle was found Wednesday night, but an autographed Edmonton Eskimos helmet and some other keepsakes that were inside couldn't be found.

Judd has said the items mean the world to her son and the family wants them back.

Zach, who is 16, was in a car with four other members of the Grande Prairie Composite High School Warriors when a suspected drunk driver plowed into them last October.

The teen's four friends were killed and Zach spent months in hospital recovering from critical injuries. (CHED)
