Workers file lawsuit in NYC against Alexander Wang, allege labour law violations

NEW YORK, N.Y. - A group of employees has sued designer Alexander Wang for allegedly forcing them to work 16-hour days without overtime.

The 30 workers charged that Wang violated numerous New York State labour laws at his Chinatown operation.

According to the New York Post ( ), the $50 million lawsuit claims the workers had to spend long hours in a cramped, windowless room.

The suit was filed in Queens Supreme Court.

Representatives for Wang declined to comment. They said they had not yet been served with the papers.

Wang opened a flagship store in Chinatown last year.
