Alberta's Koe advances to Brier final with 8-6 win over Manitoba's Fowler

SASKATOON - Alberta's Kevin Koe will meet Ontario's Glenn Howard in the final at the Canadian men's curling championship Sunday.

Alberta defeated Manitoba's Rob Fowler 8-6 in Saturday's semifinal.

The championship game will be a rematch of the 2010 Brier final, when Koe edged Howard 6-5 in an extra end to take the Canadian title in Halifax.

Howard will play in his 11th career final. He and his front end of Brent Laing and Craig Savill will play in their sixth championship game in seven years. They won the title in 2007.

Manitoba will play Jamie Koe of Yukon and Northwest Territories for the bronze medal Sunday.
