Toronto Raptors wear camouflage jerseys against Chicago Bulls in NBA first

TORONTO - The Toronto Raptors will establish an NBA first Wednesday night, donning camouflage jerseys for their game against the Chicago Bulls.

The camouflage uniforms are being introduced as part of the Raptors' annual Canadian Forces Appreciation Night. More than 300 Canadian Forces members from CFB Borden, Toronto and Trenton will be honoured during the game.

"We are honoured to recognize the sacrifice and commitment of the brave men and women who serve in the Canadian Forces," Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment executive vice-president Tom Anselmi said in a statement. "This game and the team's camo jersey are just small gestures that show our organization's commitment and appreciation for what the Forces do for our country."

The Raptors will wear the unique jerseys three more times this season: Monday against Orlando, April 1 vs. Washington and April 16 against Atlanta.
