KELOWNA, B.C. - Actress Brooke Shields has a case of Hot Flashes — two of them in fact.
Shields ordered two cases of Hot Flash wine from The House of Rose Winery in Kelowna, B.C., after wrapping up production on her new movie called The Hot Flashes in Louisiana.
House of Rose owner Aura Rose is thrilled, saying the wine is all about a celebration of women.
The winery website says Hot Flash, which sells for $18.90 a bottle, is a blend of Shiraz and Foch grapes and describes the vintage as "a special wine to celebrate that wild and wonderful phase of life".
Rose says she used a focus groups of middle-aged women to help create the wine and the label, which features a tongue of flame over the words Hot Flash.
The movie The Hot Flashes, which also stars Melanie Griffith, Wanda Skyes and Darryl Hannah, is about a basketball team of middle-aged Texas women who challenge a team of high school champs to a series of games to raise money for breast cancer prevention. (CKFR)
