Calvin Klein's Costa to anchor Macy's promotion that highlights colours and culture of Brazil

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Macy's has tapped Francisco Costa, women's creative director of the Calvin Klein Collection, as its tour guide for a new seasonal campaign called "A Magical Journey to Brazil."

The limited-edition collection of dresses, announced Tuesday, serves as a cornerstone for a Brazilian-themed spring promotion.

It allows Costa to introduce the clean architectural lines and tropical-sunset colour palette of his native country to a much bigger audience. It also gives Macy's Inc. shoppers the chance to become more familiar with Costa, who replaced the brand's namesake designer almost 10 years ago.

The dresses will cost $135 to $180, hundreds of dollars less than typical Calvin Klein Collection garments.

The dresses will debut May 15 at more than 80 stores nationwide and on the website.
