QEW Closed In Burlington After Fatal Crash

Ontario Provincial Police say the Queen Elizabeth Way has now reopened between Walkers Line and Appleby, following an investigation into a fatal incident in which a man was killed.

Earlier in the afternoon, a stolen vehicle crashed on the QEW eastbound at Appleby Line in Burlington. The male suspect of the stolen vehicle exited the vehicle and was later killed in a collision, said CBC's David Ritchie, who was at the scene. Police have released few details about what happened, but an area of the QEW was closed down for several hours in both directions.
