A Toronto man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with his father’s death.

Toronto police say they were called to a home in the High Park Avenue and Bloor Street West area on Monday morning.

A man allegedly told police that he had assaulted his parents.

Police say the man was taken into custody under the Mental Health Act and his parents were taken to hospital and treated for their injuries.
