In fact, Honda has agreed to serve as sponsor for the next three years, keeping the event afloat through the summer of 2014.
This year, three new countries will participate in the competition — Brazil, Italy and Vietnam — and fireworks chair John Reynolds says some extra reserved seating may be added.
He says some tickets have already been sold even though there's been no advertising for the fireworks yet.
The three-day event will be held on July 28, August 1 and August 4.
Last year's show was given the Best Public Entertainment Award at the 2012 Canadian Event Industry Awards handed out in Toronto March 30. (News1130)
