Abduction attempt reported near Humber College

Toronto Police are investigating an alleged attempted abduction near Humber College on Sunday night.

A 22-year-old woman says a man approached her from behind and tried to force her into his car.

According to police the incident happened on Humberwood Boulevard at about 9:30 p.m.

The woman was able to get away from the man and flee.

Police have released a description of the suspect. He is described as East Indian, about six feet tall, with a muscular build.

He was believed to be driving a black four-door Infiniti.

Const. Tony Vella said it important to be cautious when walking alone.

“Know your surroundings at all times,” he said.

“Go with your gut feeling, if you suspect any wrongdoing by someone. If someone attempts to grab you, yell, scream, do whatever it takes to run away.”
