Police are looking for a vehicle in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed a young girl on Thursday night.
The two-vehicle collision happened at about 10:30 p.m. on the westbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway two kilometres west of Valley Ridge Boulevard N.W.
A 1998 Pontiac Grand Am was struck from behind by a 2002 Kia Sedona, forcing it onto the shoulder of the road where it flipped and rolled, police said.
A 10-year-old girl — who was not strapped in — was ejected from the Pontiac and later died from her injuries.
The driver responsible for the crash sped away westbound from the scene, police said.
Investigators are continuing to interview witnesses.
Anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision and saw a red 2002 Kia Sedona is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
