TORONTO - There's another recall of electric toothbrushes.
Church & Dwight Canada is voluntarily recalling its "Spinbrush Pro Clean Sonic Recharge Toothbrushes" due to the risk of fire, shock or burns that could result from a problem with overheating charging bases.
Church & Dwight Canada has received six consumer reports of overheating in the U.S. and one report in Canada.
The company says to date there have been no reported injuries or fires associated with use of the device.
Health Canada, which is monitoring the recall, says it is limited to specific lots of the product that were distributed between February 2010 and October 2011.
The company says people who have toothbrushes from the affected lots should stop using them and return them for a full refund.
The lots involved in the recall are DD9355 through 9365 and DD0002 through 0122.
Additional information about the recall can be obtained by calling 1-888-709-4100 or by visiting http://www.spinbrush.com/important_information.html.
Late last year, two other lines of electric toothbrushes were also recalled after reports of injuries.
