Kentucky Derby-winning jockey to visit Vancouver track where he honed his skills

VANCOUVER - The jockey who won the Kentucky Derby last weekend will be visiting the Vancouver race track where he honed his skills.

Mexican-born Mario Gutierrez will appear at Hasting Park on Sunday to visit his former colleagues and greet fans.

He rode at the Vancouver track for more than six years before moving to the U.S. racing circuit.

Hastings Park general manager Raj Mutti says Gutierrez will appear at the park's winners' circle, where fans can get a picture taken with him.

Gutierrez rode "I'll Have Another" to the finish line at the Kentucky Derby and will try to win the second leg of racing's Triple Crown with the same horse in the Preakness in Baltimore on May 19.
