Toronto police say the death of a man at the Scarborough Bluffs early Monday morning was a tragic accident.
The man, police say, was at the top of the bluffs, in a small park near Cecil Crescent.
He had been sitting at a campfire, drinking with three friends. Police say he stumbled backwards, fell over the edge and plunged to his death.
Emergency services were called out around 2 a.m.
The man's body was recovered a short time later by members of the police marine unit.
Police have not released any names, though they have confirmed the victim is from Toronto.
