Neo Material Technologies Inc. (TSX:NEM). Rare earths. Down 34 cents, or 3.24 per cent, at $10.15 on 14,349,196 shares.

Mirabela Nickel Ltd. (TSX:MNB). Miner. Up one cent, or 3.03 per cent, at 34 cents on 9,118,087 shares.

Goldgroup Mining Inc. (TSX:GGA). Miner. Down two cents, or five per cent, at 38 cents on 8,448,878 shares.

Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:BNK). Oil and gas. Down four cents, or 2.05 per cent, at $1.91 on 7,246,089 shares.

Stornoway Diamond Corp. (TSX:SWY). Miner. Down one cent, or 1.22 per cent, at 81 cents on 6,039,738 shares.

Talisman Energy Inc. (TSX:TLM). Oil and gas. Up 43 cents, or 4.15 per cent, at $10.79 on 5,338,182 shares.

TSX Venture Exchange (1,309.27, up 26.79 points):

GoldQuest Mining Corp. (TSXV:GQC). Miner. Up 8.5 cents, or 27.42 per cent, at 39.5 cents on 8,671,930 shares.

Simba Energy Inc. (TSXV:SMB). Oil and gas. Up 3.5 cents, or 21.88 per cent, at 19.5 cents on 5,359,514 shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Garda World Security Corp. (TSX:GW). Security firm. Up 75 cents, or 10.26 per cent, at $8.06 on 203,122 shares. Garda World Security Corp. reported strong earnings today, and says it is profiting from student protests on the streets of Montreal as customers request more help in securing their summer events. The security firm said its net profit in the three months ended April 30 was $6.3 million, up 39 per cent from $4.5 million in the same year-earlier period.

Trimac Transportation Ltd. (TSX:TMA). Transportation. Down one cent, or 0.22 per cent, at $4.49 on 3,159 shares. Trimac announced Friday that it plans to acquire Ontario-based trucking services provider Liquid Cargo Lines Ltd. for an undisclosed price. The deal for the Mississauga firm, which specializes in bulk transportation deliveries throughout Ontario, Quebec and the United States with a focus in chemicals and asphalt, is expected to close in the third quarter.
