Teacher charged with impaired driving after crash

A Niagara Falls Catholic high school teacher is facing impaired driving charges after a crash during a school trip.

The woman was driving a van carrying several students when she collided with the back of a motorcycle on Highway 3 Thursday afternoon, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.

No one in the van was hurt. The motorcyclist was injured, but is expected to survive.

Frances MacDonald, 43, faces two impaired-driving-related charges.
