Summer may still be a few days away but it's going to feel like it's the middle of the season, starting Monday night.
Hot, humid, sticky weather is headed for the Greater Toronto Area. The temperatures will rocket into the 30s but it will feel a lot warmer with the humidity factored in.
For three days — Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday — the mercury will soar to the low 30s right across southern Ontario.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement on Monday morning.
"Elevated humidity levels will combine with the high temperatures to give humidex values of 40 and higher," the statement said. Overnight temperatures are predicted to be in the 20s.
"This will make for very uncomfortable conditions and moderate to high readings in the air quality health index. It is advised to stay in an air conditioned place or seek shade when possible, drink Plenty of water and limit physical outdoor activity," the weather agency said.
Cooler temperatures are expected to arrive in time for the weekend.
