Judge defers decision on chiropractor charged with sex assault on patient

MEDICINE HAT, Caanada - The sexual assault trial for a chiropractor in southern Alberta has wrapped up, but a decision will not come down until next month.

Dr. Gary Bourdon, who is 58, was charged in June 2011 after one of his patients filed a complaint with police.

In the half-day trial on Tuesday, the woman testified that during treatment, she was face down on the table, and when she turned her head, Bourdon's genitals were exposed and he was masturbating.

Bourdon has continued to work under the condition that a female chaperone be present in the room when he was with a female patient.

The judge in the case is expected to deliver his verdict on July 25.
