Suspected machete attack puts 1 in hospital

One man is in hospital and another is in custody after what might have been a machete attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the Toronto's east end.

A TTC driver called Toronto police, reporting a man running southbound on McCowan Road at Sheppard Avenue covered in blood and carrying a machete.

Police found a victim suffering multiple stab wounds and slashes to his arms, head and back.

The man was rushed to Sunnybrook Hospital with life-threatening injuries around 4 a.m.

The suspect was arrested at a parking lot near Sheppard Avenue and McCowan Road.
