Brent Hayden has earned Canada another bronze in the 100m freestyle final.
U.S. swimmer Nathan Adrian won Team USA another gold medal, out-touching Australia's James Magnussen at the wall.
Hayden, who qualified sixth for this race, had a strong start off the blocks and appeared to be in second place coming out of the crucial 50m turn.

In the end, Hayden was caught by Australia's Magnussen, who came within 0.01 seconds of winning the gold.
London is Hayden's third Olympics. The Mission, B.C. native did not qualify for the 100m final at the Beijing Olympics, despite being the 2007 world champion.
Hayden's win brings Canada's medal tally up to six.
