After early losses, Hungary rebounds to reach quarterfinals of men's Olympic water polo

LONDON - Three-time defending champion Hungary crushed Britain 17-6 behind 3 goals apiece from Tamas Kasas and Norbert Madaras to reach the quarterfinals of men's water polo at the London Olympics.

Hungary lost its first game of the tournament to gold medal-favourite Serbia and then dropped its second to Montenegro. But the Hungarians rebounded to beat Romania, and on Saturday never trailed against an outclassed Britain team that only qualified for the competition as the host nation.

Hungary now has four points from four matches, and plays the U.S. in its last group match.

Saturday's loss was the fourth straight for Britain, and the country cannot advance to the knockout stage.
