Canada Wins A Bronze Medal In Team Pursuit Cycling

Canada won a bronze medal in the women's team pursuit on day 8 of the Olympics.

Tara Whitten led fellow teammates Gillian Carleton and Jasmin Glaesser to the bronze medal only beating Australia by a nano second in the Olympic Velodrome.

Great Britain won the gold and were considered unbeatable in the event. Canada lost to them earlier in the day. USA took silver losing to Great Britain by 3.17 seconds. Canada was never considered to be in the running for gold.
