3 injured in Richmond home invasion

Three residents of a Richmond, B.C., home were injured in a home invasion early Sunday morning.

RCMP say a 31-year-old male was shot and his parents, both in their 60s, were assaulted after someone broke into their home on the 12000 block of Carncross Avenue around 1 a.m. PT.

Police responded after receiving reports of several shots being fired at the residence. All three were taken to hospital and are expected to recover.

The 31-year-old is known to police, according to a statement released by Cpl. Sherrdean Truley Monday morning.
