Prince Edward to visit Hamilton for ceremony at Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum

HAMILTON - Prince Edward will visit Hamilton on September 15th to take part in the 150th anniversary celebrations of The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry.

Edward will be the reviewing officer for a rare military Trooping of the Colour ceremony on the tarmac at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.

Officials say the prince will fly directly into Hamilton airport.

The event is expected to last about an hour, and will be followed by a private tour of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.

Other guests of honour will include Lt.-Gov. David Onley and Canadian Army Commander Lt.-Gen. Peter Devlin.

The public is invited to attend, but the public space is standing only.
