Police find missing woman from Trail, B.C.

Police in Abbotsford, B.C., say they have located a 72-year-old woman who was missing while making the long drive to Trail, in the province's Interior.

Diana Latondress hadn't been seen since Sunday night when she had told friends and family she would be leaving for the six-hour drive to Trail on Monday morning.

But Latondress was located in Midway, B.C., on Tuesday. She is in good health and had simply extended her trip home, Const. Ian MacDonald said in a release.

"The Abbotsford Police would like to thank our RCMP colleagues for their assistance with this investigation," MacDonald said.

Const. Ian MacDonald said earlier Tuesday that no one had heard from her since, and family and police were very concerned.
