Doug Ford Calls Journalists 'Pricks' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Toronto Mayor's Brother Calls Media 'Pricks'

Councillor Doug Ford called Toronto reporters a "bunch of pricks" Monday after bashing the media on his radio talk show with brother Mayor Rob Ford on Sunday.

Faced with a flurry of questions from reporters about the comments he made on the Newstalk 1010 program, Ford refused to give answers, according to the Toronto Sun. On Sunday, Ford called the media a "bunch of little sucky little kids" and accused reporters of lying through their teeth.

As he left the reporters behind on Monday he could be heard muttering "bunch of pricks."

Ford's apologetic tone didn't last for long though, according to The Globe and Mail. Later in the day he went on the radio and told AM 640's Arlene Bynon that every politician in the country will thank him for his comments.

"For calling them pricks?" Bynon asked him.

"They are," Ford said. "It’s very simple. In my opinion, they are."

Fellow councillors were divided over the comments.

"Even if they blow their nose, it’s a story," Del Grande said.

Councillor Paul Ainslie was less understanding.

"You respect the media and the media respects you," Ainslie told CBC.
