HALIFAX - Nova Scotia's first anti-bullying co-ordinator has been appointed.
Education Minister Ramona Jennex announced Kathleen Richard will take the position.
Jennex says Richard comes with 20 years of education experience and expertise in supporting people who face bullying.
Jennex said earlier this month that the appointment, which was expected to be announced by Sept. 1, was delayed because an internal job posting failed to find a suitable candidate.
The government announced in April it would appoint a co-ordinator to help combat bullying in schools, which was a key recommendation from a task force on cyberbullying earlier in the year.
Richard will start her job Monday.
