Montreal woman on life-support after hit-and-run

A 40-year-old woman is on life-support after being struck by a vehicle on Friday night in Montreal's Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood.

The incident took place around 11 p.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and Saint-Joseph Boulevard.

Police say she was hit by a car which then fled the scene.

Authorities caught up with the 76-year-old driver who failed a breathalyser test.

The woman driving the vehicle will be charged with hit and run causing death and impaired driving.
