The three suspects showed up at the Sûreté du Québec office in Saint-Jérôme at 11:30 p.m. and met with investigators before being released. The minivan they were driving was seized and the suspects could face charges.
Police were looking for a dark-coloured 2000 Dodge Caravan that struck a man involved in an incident early Monday morning.
At around 2 a.m. Monday, a motorist from Laval lost control of his car, crashed and was ejected from his vehicle.
Sûreté du Québec spokesman Claude Denis said the man was lying on the ground when a minivan hit him before speeding off.
Another driver witnessed the incident and parked his vehicle to call for help.
The victim was declared dead at the hospital.
