Edmonton principal where teacher fired after giving zero grade leaves school

EDMONTON - The principal of an Edmonton school involved in the firing of a teacher who gave students grades of zero is leaving for a new job.

Ron Bradley says he's leaving Ross Sheppard High School to take a position with Edmonton Public Schools as supervisor of leadership development.

Edmonton Public Schools fired physics teacher Lynden Dorval for giving students who failed to hand in assignments zeros, which was against the high school's policy.

He was actually disciplined for insubordination.

Dorval has since been hired to teach at a private school.

He has said he plans to appeal his firing. (CHED)
