EDMONTON - Travis Brandon Baumgartner, the man accused of gunning down four of his fellow armoured car guards at the University of Alberta, has had his court case put over.
Travis Baumgartner made a brief appearance in an Edmonton arraignment court and is to be back Oct. 26.
The Crown has elected to proceed to trial without a preliminary hearing.
Baumgartner, who is 21, was charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder following a robbery in June at an ATM machine on campus.
Three of his co-workers died at the scene; a fourth spent weeks in hospital recovering from head wounds.
Baumgartner was arrested the next day at the U.S. border with $334,000 in a backpack.
