Porsche SUV rams into Toronto house, parked car

A man is in custody after a Porsche Cayenne Turbo SUV rammed into a house and also smashed into a car parked on the driveway early Monday morning.

Residents on Lawrence Avenue at Mount Pleasant Road got a rude awakening around 3:30 a.m. when the vehicle left the road and struck the building, taking out a brick wall that formed part of the front porch and also hitting a small parked car on the property.

The driver fled the scene on foot, but a resident of the house gave chase.

A suspect was arrested nearby and placed under arrest and charged with impaired driving.

He was taken to 32 Division for a breath test.
