Woman's van sought in Mission homicide

Homicide investigators are searching for a van that belonged to a Mission woman found dead in her trailer park home last week under mysterious circumstances.

Integrated Homicide Investigation Team spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Pound says police are still trying to determine what led to the death of Muriel Anne Elaine Monk, 47.

"We know that her vehicle has not been located and we're asking for the public's assistance in helping us locate that vehicle. And we're hoping that anybody that has any information or has seen that vehicle will contact the IHIT tip line."

The van is described as a green 1997 Dodge Caravan with B.C. license plate number 662 RTH.

Monk's body was found in her home at the trailer park on the 34000 block of the Lougheed Highway last Thursday afternoon.

Police say she appeared to be victim of foul play, but have released few details of her death. An autopsy is scheduled to be completed later on Monday.

Pound says there are persons of interest in this case, but no suspects at this point.
