UPDATE: The two best friends also attended Justin Bieber's concert in Edmonton on Monday night. Joana Antunes tweeted that they were heading to the concert followed by, "How amazing @justinbieber & crew are: @kennyhamilton his bodyguard just came to our seats to see if @Chandilierr (Crystal Montgomery) was okay." Justin Bieber gave his fans a whole new reason to believe this Monday. The Canadian artist was scheduled to be in Edmonton to perform at Rexall Place and his Facebook page saw a request posted on it on Saturday.

Joana Antunes wrote about her best friend Crystal Amber Montgomery, who was diagnosed with the cancer osteosarcoma.

The 18-year-old is the youngest patient at the Cross Cancer Institute at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, and a big fan of Justin Bieber.

Antunes wrote a heartfelt note saying that her best friend and has been following his music since Bieber's Youtube days and even had a Justin Bieber poster in her hospital room.

She wouldn't be able to attend the concert like previously planned as she was too sick to leave the hospital.

"I know that this is almost impossible, but you're the one who says to believe. So here I am believing," wrote Antunes.

The hashtag #bieberforcrystal gained popularity on Twitter and the girls got their wish when Bieber stopped by for a visit.

He hinted that he maybe visiting the teen when he tweeted:

He followed the note with a photo and then thanked his fans:

He’s amazing, he’s an inspiration. To see him be such a mega-star but so willing to help people, and he’s just such a great person,” Montgomery told The Toronto Sun.

Bieber, who is on "The Believe Tour", will travel to a few more Canadian cities including Saskatoon and Winnipeg before heading to U.S. and international destinations.
