Brighten up: Rich palette of vivid hues and prints in formal looks from Express

TORONTO - The runway was awash in rich hues as Express closed out Toronto's World MasterCard Fashion Week with a vivid range of colourful apparel for men and women.

From red to cobalt blue and coral along with vibrant shades of pink, bold and vivid hues abounded in everything from blazers and cropped pants to shirts and colour-blocked dresses.

The extensive collection of dresses showcased featured a fair share of pretty peplums and tank styles as well as shimmering strapless numbers featuring ruching and pleating. Menswear features crisp tailored suited separates and tuxedo-style jackets.

Boldly graphic patterns were also plentiful, from floral accents on pants and shirts, to more subtle dotted prints on men's shirts.

Continuing the trend of Canadian supermodels taking a turn on the Toronto runway this week, homegrown catwalker Jessica Stam opened and closed the runway showcase.
