Two men shot on Montreal's north shore

Two men were shot outside a retirement home in Terrebonne, on Montreal's north shore, on Sunday.

The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. in the parking lot behind Villa des Moulins on Gascon way, where a Halloween party was taking place.

Police do not know if the attack stemmed from a prior event at the celebration.

One man suffered injuries to his face and leg while the other was struck in the abdomen.

According to Terrebone police captain Sylvain Théorêt, the 27- and 29-year-old victims' lives were not in danger while they were transported to hospital.

Authorities said the motive for the attack is unknown.
