Police investigate possible murder-suicide

Montreal police say they now believe it was a murder-suicide that led to the deaths of two people whose bodies were found in a burned-out minivan in Montreal Monday morning.

The vehicle was parked on Champagneur Avenue near D'Anvers Avenue, in a residential section of Park Extension.

Police said that because of the condition of one of the bodies, they are waiting for the results of autopsies before releasing the names of the two people.

They said they have determined that the two dead people knew each other but were not related.

Police and firefighters found the bodies after extinguishing the fire in the minivan.
