WARMAN, Sask. - Another name has been added to the list of Saskatchewan cities.
A proclamation was signed Saturday to make Warman the province's 16th community to be incorporated as a city.
Warman, located just a few kilometres north of Saskatoon, has a population of just over 7,000 people.
It takes a minimum population of 5,000 to become a city in Saskatchewan.
Mayor Sheryl Spence told a proclamation signing ceremony that she feels privileged and honoured to be head of the City of Warman council.
Warman was founded as a village in 1906 and was incorporated as a town 60 years later. (CKOM)
