Ohio man wanted in wife's death arrested in Quebec

A 29-year-old man wanted in the death of his wife in Toledo, Ohio is in custody in Quebec, CBC News has learned.

Kyle Sheppard contacted authorities from a hotel in Saguenay just before 5 a.m. ET Sunday and turned himself in without incident.

Police believe he crossed the border at Windsor, Ont., from Detroit on Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the couple's home in Toledo on Friday night when Katie Sheppard, 29, did not show up for work. There, they found a body wrapped in a blanket, on an enclosed porch.

Police say the woman had been strangled.

The suspect has dual citizenship and has family in Windsor.
