RCMP say the crash involved two commercial vehicles and two passenger vehicles.
Some of those involved in the accident needed be extracted from their vehicles by emergency crews.
Police say one person was declared dead at the scene.
A spokesperson with B.C. Ambulance Service says three people were taken by ambulance to Vanderhoof, and two of those were then being flown by air ambulance to a larger care centre.
The collision happened in Beaumont Provincial Park in Northern British Columbia, no far from Fort Fraser and about 130 kilometres west of Prince George.
