Laval restaurant hit by suspicious fire

Police investigators are looking into a suspicious fire at a Laval restaurant.

Firefighters put out the flames early Wednesday morning, but alerted police when they detected a gas odor.

The fire started at about 2:45 a.m. at a Akropolis Souvlaki in a commercial centre Cure-Labelle boulevard, in the Chomedey area.

Officials say it seems the fire started in the kitchen.

No one was injured and no arrests have been reported.
