Adrian Oliver Funeral Details: RCMP, Police March Precedes Service

Thousands of RCMP officers and other uniformed police forces will be marching in Langley, B.C. before Const. Adrian Oliver's funeral on Tuesday afternoon.

Oliver, 28, was killed last week when his unmarked cruiser collided with a semi at a Surrey intersection.

The public is invited to attend the funeral at the Langley Event Centre, but seating priority will be given to Oliver's family, friends, colleagues and uniformed officers, said the RCMP.

The funeral service, which begins at 1 p.m. PT will be live streamed.

RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson, along with Oliver's family and close friends, are expected to speak.

Oliver's twin brother is also a Mountie; his stepfather is a RCMP chief superintendent; and his girlfriend is reportedly a police handler.

FUNERAL DETAILS

WHEN: Tuesday, Nov. 20

Noon PT - March begins from the Langley Event Centre

12:30 p.m. - Funeral procession arrives

1 p.m. - Funeral proceedings begin at 1 p.m.

WHERE: Langley Event Centre, 7888 - 200th St., Langley, B.C.

WHO: The march will feature RCMP personnel, primarily in red serge, followed by other uniform emergency services including Lower Mainland fire departments, and then other police forces, including Lower Mainland police forces, U.S. Customs and Border, U.S. Border Patrol, U.S. Coast Guard and Australian Federal Police.
