FREDERICTON - The growing concern over energy drinks has reached the floor of the New Brunswick legislature.
The opposition Liberals say they want the province to take a closer look at the impact these high-octane beverages are having on young people.
Health critic Donald Arseneault says a provincial study is warranted.
He cites recent reports suggesting a link between the drinks and the deaths of three Canadian teenagers since 2003.
The Liberals tabled a bill earlier this year that would require signs to be posted warning of the risks of consuming energy drinks.
Like most opposition bills, it died on the order paper.
