Target Canada: The Target Holiday Road Trip Is Coming To A Town Near You

The Target Holiday Road Trip Is Coming To A Town Near You
Target

You guys: Target is coming to Canada. Okay, so we know you already knew that (how could you miss the news with all of the marketing initiatives the company has been doing across the country, including at TIFF).

The catch is the mega-retailer may be coming to a town near you sooner than you may think -- thanks to the Target Holiday Road Trip. The cross-country tour will include performances by Canadian artists, musicians, children's performers and comedians -- there will also be several surprises.

The tour says, Livia Zufferli, marketing director at Target Canada, affords the company an opportunity to get to know the communities the store will be moving into in March 2013 (when some 124 stores open across Canada). It's also a way for the retailer to help people get in the holiday spirit. “We’ve planned surprises in more than 20 communities across the country in the hopes of creating unforgettable memories and giving Canadians a taste of what they can expect when Target opens in 2013.”

The tour's first stop will be in Halifax on Nov. 30 and will feature a reading from Gordon Pinsent. There will also be a play zone for kids and an opportunity to hang with Bullseye the dog. The road trip will wrap up around mid-December in British Columbia.
